Waitangi Tribunal Conference 2005
The Waitangi Tribunal, in conjunction with the New Zealand Law Society, held a conference on 17 and 18 November 2005 targeted at practitioners involved in the Treaty settlement process, whether as counsel, witnesses, officials, or negotiators.

The forum discussed and debated the professional issues confronting the sector and included: What are the expectations of legal counsel in the Waitangi Tribunal? What is the role of the independent expert witness? What is the relationship between the Waitangi Tribunal inquiry and the process leading to settlement? How can we extract maximum advantage from each part?
